Terms of Service

1. Services

Costa Catering provides professional event staffing services including servers, bartenders, grillers and chefs, and tent and equipment rentals for events in the New York metropolitan area. All services are subject to availability and confirmation by Costa Catering following receipt of a quote request.

2. Quote Requests and Booking

Submitting a quote request through our website or AI assistant does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only upon written agreement from Costa Catering and receipt of the required deposit (50% of the agreed total). Pricing estimates provided through our tools are estimates only and may vary based on final event details.

3. Alcohol Service — Licensing and Compliance

The following terms apply to all events where Costa Catering provides bartending or any alcohol-related service:

• Age requirement: Alcohol will be served only to guests who are 21 years of age or older. Costa Catering staff will request valid government-issued photo identification and reserve the right to refuse service to any guest who cannot provide valid ID or who appears to be under the influence.
• Right to refuse service: Consistent with ATAP training, Costa Catering bartenders have the authority and obligation to refuse alcohol service to any guest at any time, for any reason related to responsible service. The client agrees not to interfere with this judgment.
• Client responsibility: The client is responsible for ensuring that only lawfully permitted alcohol is available at the event and that the venue holds any required permits or licenses for alcohol service. Costa Catering does not provide alcohol — bartenders serve only alcohol supplied or authorized by the client and/or venue.
• Liability: The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Costa Catering and its staff against any claims arising from alcohol service at the event, except where such claims arise directly from ATAP policy violations by Costa Catering staff.

4. Deposits and Cancellations

A 50% deposit is required to hold your event date. Deposits are non-refundable unless Costa Catering cancels the booking. Cancellations by the client within 7 days of the event date forfeit the full deposit. Cancellations more than 7 days before the event may be eligible for deposit credit toward a future booking at Costa Catering's discretion.

5. Staff Conduct

Costa Catering staff will act in a professional manner throughout your event. The client agrees to provide a safe working environment for Costa Catering staff. Costa Catering reserves the right to remove staff from an event where conditions are deemed unsafe or hostile.

6. Estimates and Pricing

All pricing estimates, including those generated through our website tools or AI assistant, are for planning purposes only and are not contractual quotes. Final pricing is confirmed in writing by Costa Catering. Estimates include a 20% staff gratuity that goes directly to the event team. Gratuity is not negotiable.

7. Limitation of Liability

Costa Catering's total liability for any claim arising from a booked event shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that event. Costa Catering is not liable for circumstances beyond its control, including weather, venue access issues, or third-party failures.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in Nassau County, New York.

9. Changes to Terms

Costa Catering reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
